Joe Furnari is a 45 year resident of Polk County and received his bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College in financial management. He spent six year in the Insurance sector prior to joining First Union (later Wachovia) in 1998.
During his 12 year career with Wachovia he spent 7 years in the retail bank which included 3 years as a sales leader for both Hillsborough and Polk county and 5 years as a commercial banker in Lakeland. He is a graduate of Lakeland Leadership Class XXIV and currently serves on the board of Achievement Academy.
Being a part of a community bank that truly cares about their clients and community has been the most rewarding part of my tenure at Bank of Central Florida. To be able to serve our clients from a banking perspective is nice but to give your time and energy to a cause in your community is extremely rewarding.
